2 of them are on the NSW South Coast around Jervis Bay!!

563 steps.. to the BEACH!

I did a little test yesterday. And it only took me 563 steps to get from Merry's Retreat to the Beach! That's hardly any! I knew it was as short walk, but not quite that short.

So if you want to take 10,000 steps per day (as health experts recommend we all should), you will have to walk along the beach for a while. And you will love it. The beach at Callala Beach is looking great at the moment. White sand, crystal clear water. I almost saw a dolphin too!

Summer time at Merry's Retreat

The weather is heating up, the bbq is primed ready to go, and the plants are thriving.. I bought another fan for the bedrooms just to keep the air circulating. Its going to be a very hot summer. The seaweed has finally been washed off the beach and its back to its stunning self. Yay!

What a great time of year!

Merry Christmas to you all. Any may 2010 be even bigger and better than any other year.

FAQ: How far is Callala Beach to Huskisson?

Huskisson is about a half hour drive to Callala Beach. On a map it looks like it would be less, but there is no bridge from Myola to Huskisson so you have to go back out to the main road and come back in again.

How 'Pet Proof" is Merry's Retreat

I have had a lot of enquiries asking how "dog or pet proof" the fence at Merry's Retreat really is. Well I decided to take some photos to show you. This type of fence goes around the whole property. And the block size is approx 800sqm.
